We have helped thousands of artists develop and establish their art careers since the gallery’s inception in the mid 1950s. This is a great opportunity for you to do the same. Join them today.

 

FAQ’s About Being a Member Artist

  • We select both emerging an. established artists.
    Most importantly, we look for full-time professional artists who have an established career and consistently participate in various national and international exhibitions.

    Some additional attributes we look for among our community of distinguished artists include:
    -Recipients of noteworthy national and international prizes.
    -Selection for prestigious artist residencies.
    -Degrees from the most reputable art schools and universities in the world.
    -Exhibition experience in international museums and/or prestigious national institutions.
    -Auction sales.
    -Published books, monographs and features in leading art publications.

    Though not all of these achievements are necessarily required to be accepted by us, they are of course a huge advantage.

    We place great importance on professional experiences and thus only work with professional artists. For this reason, a comprehensive, up-to-date CV is very important to include in your application as this will help us reach a decision faster.

  • Absolutely! We accept work by UK based and International artists.

  • Yes! Just contact us, and we'll take care of switching your plan with you.

  • Absolutely! You can cancel your subscription through your account. Canceling won't result in a refund, but you'll have access to the service until the end of the period you paid for.

  • If your review is unsuccessful your subscription will be cancelled and refunded. This does not stop you from reapplying again in the future.

  • Yes! When opting for the annual subscription, you'll get an automatic saving being charged the equivalent of 10 months worth of subscription rather than 12.

  • No. The shipping cost is handled through the website. Artist do not pay for this.

  • In return for its services, Highgate Contemporary Art will invoice the Seller a commission of 35% or 25% depending on your subscription option.

  • Yes! You get the opportunity to take part in monthly themed art exhibitions for free and you have the opportunity to book a showcase of your work that will display on our website homepage with emails sent directly to our list of interior designers and collectors.
