the Alcove

An alcove is a space within a space. A pause in the architecture. A place where something is given quiet emphasis.

Presented each May and November, The Alcove is a twice yearly curated release bringing together invited artists to create new works refined in scale and conceived specifically for this moment. These are paintings and pieces created on a smaller surface, yet chosen for their depth, balance and presence.

In an interior, smaller works offer a different kind of authority. They invite intimacy. They allow for layering. They create moments within a home rather than dominating it. A considered painting beside a fireplace. A single work in a hallway. A piece placed carefully within a recessed wall where the light shifts gently throughout the day.

For collectors, The Alcove offers a way to live more closely with art. To build thoughtfully. To begin a collection. Or to add a measured and intentional note to an existing one.

Each edition remains live for two weeks before being archived.

Nothing here feels secondary. The scale may be measured, but the presence is not.
